Species: Gelasimus princeps
Subgenus: Uca
Possibly sister species to
Uca monolifera
Geographic Range (Map): Eastern Pacific -
Mexico to Peru
Note: Uca princeps appears to have two color morphs: a dark blue morph restricted to Panama and a beige morph found throughout the rest of its range. Whether these represent different species or is an odd regional variation remains to be studied. Some information on this variation can be found in Crane (1975).
